"Give Back My Press Freedom"
The end of action becomes the beginning. Friends laughed and said that the London rally was a "funeral", mourning the death of press freedom in Hong Kong. Yes, although the freedom of the press is irreversible, but when I saw thousands of Hong Kong people shouting slogans unceasingly, expressing their anger against the Hong Kong Communist Party; I am convinced that this "funeral ceremony" has aroused countless Hong Kong people to continue to fight calmly.
"The struggle of human beings against power is the struggle between memory and forgetting." ("The Book of Laughter and Forgetting", 1979, Milan Pitra) The three guests encouraged Hong Kong people to never forget, and there will be echoes. Hong Kong Monitor Mr. Rogers pointed out that Hong Kong people living overseas have the responsibility to defend the freedom of the press in Hong Kong. Former "Epileptic Dog Daily" reporter William Lu appealed in a recording, we have shown the world how to stick to our beliefs under totalitarian rule. Mr. Wang Junyan, a former Hong Kong news anchor, believes that Hong Kong people in the UK should continue to speak out for journalists from afar, keep an eye on Hong Kong news, and "keep calm and carry on" (keep calm and continue on the road).
This parade turned out to be an important inheritance for the Hong Kong press. Since the seven media trade unions in Hong Kong organized the "Stop Police Violence and Defend Press Freedom" parade in July 2019, as Mr. Wang Junyan said, "then, there will be no more after that... The next parade to defend press freedom will be this time Marches in London.” It was astonishing that the press had been silenced for three and a half years. Although it has been suppressed for a long time, this action cites that many Hong Kong people still remember and have not forgotten their brothers and sisters.
At first we were not confident, but in the end we really managed to fill up the mailboxes of the Economic and Trade Office. It took the first participant to put the letter in, and it took forty-five minutes to see the dragon's tail. It is the will, determination and stubbornness of the Hong Kong nation for children, young and old, to stand in line patiently in the cold winter. "I wonder if we can let the BB car deliver the letter first?" "Of course!" This kind of deja vu politeness tells us that Hong Kong people still firmly believe in goodness and goodness, which can reverse the disadvantages. When the mailboxes of the Economic and Trade Office ran out of space and the operation was declared over, the long front of Hong Kong people defending the freedom of the press was entrusted to you and me overseas.
Some people say that all the news media in Hong Kong are down today, and they can only forward it manually by themselves, sharing the live events of the rally and the speeches of the guests; through the Internet, they hope to ignite the spark. Some people also said that there is no need to look back at that touching time often, but to continue to speak out for those who are silenced in the city and within the walls on overseas streets, maintain enthusiasm, and continue to be angry. But the Lord said, "I tell you, He will avenge them as soon as possible. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find such faith in the world?" (Luke 18:8) The Son of Man (Lord Jesus) seems to be in a dim light Waiting for you to stick to that letter; may we go all the way, always be the same, from now to forever.
